Our vision that grief should not destroy life is not limited by borders, and, to that end, the Danish National Center for Grief is increasingly cooperating with the international bereavement community. COVID-19 has emphasized the need to exchange and build knowledge to prevent, identify and treat the complicated grief reactions that could potentially develop among the many people bereaved during this pandemic.
The Center co-develops, shares and applies knowledge in partnership with institutions, countries and communities to the benefit of bereaved people. The Danish National Center was appointed and partly funded by the National Board of Health in Denmark – sometimes referred to as “the Danish model.”
