Thomas Mackrill har en bred og mangeårig erfaring med forskning i psykosociale interventioner. Han forsker i såvel interventionsprocesser, effekter, brugerperspektiver og implementering. Thomas har været med til at udvikle nye interventioner og nye metoder til at studere interventioner. Thomas har haft en særlig fokus på teknologier, der styrker såvel brugerens stemme i interventioner samt de professionelles faglige refleksioner i forhold til brugeren. Thomas har publiceret bredt internationalt indenfor området. Thomas er også behandlende psykolog ved det Nationale Sorgcenter, specialist og supervisor i psykoterapi og har således såvel en praktisk som forskningsmæssig forankring i interventionsfeltet.
